Description:
Poly(trimethylene carbonate) (PTMC) shows excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability. It remains in a rubber-like state at body temperature, which offers a certain degree of elasticity. Due to these characteristics, it is widely used in biodegradable binding devices, drug-controlled release materials, implantable materials, and in-body support materials. It can also be copolymerized with polyesters such as polylactic acid to enhance the properties of the polymer.
