Description:
PLGA is widely applied in biomedical fields, such as fracture fixation materials, tissue repair materials, and drug delivery systems due to the good flexibility and degradability, with a rapid degradation rate. PLGA absorbable sutures are polymers synthesized through the copolymerization of lactide and glycolide in required proportions. They are manufactured through processes such as spinning, stretching and weaving. During degradation, the ester bonds in the main chain break down and the polymer will degrade into non-toxic small molecules, which can participate in the body's metabolic processes and eventually be excreted. Because the high knot-pull tensile strength, PLGA absorbable sutures improved tissue penetration, and a better tactile feel.
